Elephant Factoid

Sometimes, you just have too many trees to tear down to stop and eat lunch.

Here is Flora (African ele) walking into her habitat with a “trunk-and-go” snack of hay, that she's saving for later. Elephants have been able to survive for millions of years because of their intelligence and creativity, particularly in dietary behaviors.

In the wild, elephants can spend up to 16 hours per day looking for food.
